Join photographer Sean Reagan for a unique workshop that combines cultural immersion and creative expression. Participants will explore the vibrant traditions of Dia de Muertos (Days of the Dead) in Mexico, and learn how to capture its essence through their lens.

For the on-site portion of the workshop participants will visit the Panteón de Guadalupe cemetery, where families gather to honor their loved ones with colorful altars, food, drink, and music.

Learn how to create a photography project with a theme, and how to focus on a subject and develop it. This workshop will help you improve your skills in composition, the use of light, and storytelling, while experiencing a rich and fascinating culture.

Students must bring their own camera.

About Sean Reagan

Sean Reagan is a documentary, travel, and commercial photographer based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

He has a love for culture and adventure and his photography has been published in various print and digital mediums as well as exhibited in galleries.

The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies exhibited Sean’s photography in Mexico City in 2015. The exhibition focused on a series of interviews examining the perilous journey of Central American migrants traveling to the United States.

In 2016, Sean’s photography of San Miguel and its people was featured in a book published by San Miguel de Allende’s Tourism Board titled “Viaje al Corazón”.

Prior to relocating to Mexico in 2009, Sean worked in Washington, DC and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
