How can I be an instructor or presenter for Art of the Story?

If you’d like to be considered to teach a session or present an event for Art of the Story, email Nathan at [email protected] and he will help you through the process of submitting a proposal.

How can I volunteer for Art of the Story?

I’d like to support Art of the Story by making a donation. How can I do that?

Art of the Story is a registered 501(c)(3) and your contribution in US dollars is tax deductible.

You can make a one-time donation or a recurring donation HERE.

If you are making a donation in US dollars you will receive an acknowledgment of your donation for your tax filing purposes.

How can I advertise my business to the Art of the Story audience?

Where do I find my tickets?

When you purchase individual tickets you will receive an email with your order details. You must present the email at the door for the events listed on your order.

If you purchased a Festival Pass you will also receive an email with your order details. On the first day of the festival you will need to pick up a badge (please present the email with your order details) at the registration area from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You must show the badge at the door for all the events for which you registered.

Do I need to print the email I received?

No. You are not required to print the email but you will need to show it on your device.

Do I have to buy tickets online? Can I purchase tickets at the door?

We will be selling individual tickets at the door and will accept cash. Exact change is appreciated and pesos are preferred. Credit/debit cards will be accepted for online purchases.

How can I change my schedule?

You can move from one session to another as long as there are seats available. Please email Nathan at [email protected]

Do you have a waitlist?

Yes, we do have a waitlist. If a specific event is sold out, please email Nathan at [email protected] to be added to the waiting list.

How do I know what art supplies to bring to a session?

Each session has a page on our website where all the necessary supplies are listed.  It is the student’s responsibility to bring the listed supplies.

Also, about a week before the festival starts (October 20, 2024) the instructors will begin emailing the students with information about the session, handouts, and material lists.

Will you have art supplies for sale at the festival?

NO, we will not have art supplies for sale.

Will you give out student art supplies for each session?

NO, we will not give out any of the student art supplies listed for each session.

How do I get a refund?

You can get a full refund (minus handling fees) for any order if you contact us within 48 hours of your purchase. Forward your order confirmation email to Nathan at [email protected].

Can I receive a refund after 48-hours?

We DO NOT offer refunds after the 48 hour period has passed.You can transfer your order or donate your order. For more information contact Nathan at [email protected].

Does a Festival Pass include lodging?

A pass does not include lodging.

Can you recommend a hotel near the festival?

San Miguel de Allende has a wide range of accommodations ranging from luxury boutique hotels to comfortable AirBnB rentals.

Economic Accommodations: The least expensive option is usually an AirBnB. You should check their listing to see if there are any available in your budget. The neighborhoods closest to the festival are Guadiana, San Antonio, and Centro. La Mansion del Bosque and Te Amo Hotel Boutique are economically-friendly hotels about ten-minute walk from the festival in beautiful parts of town.

Closest & Affordable Hotels: The Hotel Real de Minas and the Hotel La Casona are the two closest, mid-range, hotels in that area of San Miguel. Hotel La Casona is next door to the festival space and Hotel Real de Minas is a couple minutes away.

Luxury Hotels: Many high-end accommodations can be found near the festival. Rosewood, and Villa Santa Mónica are both about a ten minute walk from the festival.

Can you make a room reservation for me at Hotel La Casona?

No, we cannot make hotel room reservations.

Can I receive a discount on a room at Hotel La Casona?

No, we do not have discounts on hotel rooms near the festival.

What airports serve San Miguel de Allende?

Querétaro (Airport code: QRO)
Bajío: León/Guanajuato (Airport code: BJX)
Mexico City (Airport code: MEX)

Querétaro International Airport is about a one-and-a-half hour drive from San Miguel de Allende. Bajío International Airport, which is near León, is about a two hour drive. The airport in Mexico City is roughly a four-and-a-half hour drive away.

How can I get from the airport to San Miguel de Allende?

A shuttle service can pick you up at the airport and drive you to your hotel. We recommend using a San Miguel favorite, BajioGo. You can make a reservation on their website in English.
